Used for Cad/Cam and data transmission foil shielded multi-pair lo-cap (low capacitance) cables are ideal for RS-232 (Recommended Standard 232), RS-422 (Recommended Standard 422) and RS-485 (Recommended Standard 485) applications. The low capacitance values of these cables also make them ideal for high speed data transmission, computer interconnects and remote peripheral devices and having both a foil and braid shield provide additional protection against EMR interference. Cables specifically designed for RS-485 can be used effectively over long distances and in electrically noisy environments, which make them ideal for install in industrial environments and similar applications.
